INDIA - GOLDEN TRIANGLE: Delhi, Jaipur and Agra

8 Days: Delhi / Samode / Jaipur / Agra / Delhi
A wonderful journey taking in the famous sights of the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra highlighted by visits to six World Heritage sites. This tour is an ideal way to feel the rhythm of this eclectic country, from the frenetic Delhi with its wealth of architecture and history, to the magnificent Moghul forts, and the ultimate expression of love at the Taj Mahal. DAY 1: To Delhi
Depart Heathrow in the morning and arrive Delhi just after midnight with two nights stay at the Oberoi Maidens Hotel or similar.

DAY 2: Delhi
Late morning sightseeing of Old and New Delhi, including Humayan’s Tomb, The Red Fort, Qutab Minar and India Gate.

DAY 3: To Samode
Morning drive to Samode to stay at the Samode Palace. Afternoon time to explore the village and palace. Delight in the exquisite mosaics, charming mirror work and superb architectural heritage.

DAY 4: To Jaipur
Morning at leisure. Midday drive to Jaipur with two nights at the Jai Mahal Palace. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting the delightful Palace of Winds, City Palace Complex and the fascinating Astronomical Observatory.

DAY 5: Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber Fort slowly meandering up the steep ascent perched atop an elephant. Time to relax in the afternoon perhaps wandering the colourful bazaars.

DAY 6: To Agra
Morning drive to Agra staying at the Trident Hotel for two nights. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri the deserted capital city of the great Moghul Emperor Akbar. Optional tour to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.

DAY 7: Agra
Unforgettable sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, the white marble blushing as the first rays of sunlight caress this monument to love. After breakfast a tour of Agra Fort, built by successive Moghul Emperors, the Itmad-ud-Daulah and final farewell to the Taj Mahal, before late afternoon drive to Delhi International Airport.

DAY 8: To London
Depart early morning flight to Heathrow on with morning UK arrival.
