Indonesia - MSV AMIRA
CREATED BY DIVERS FOR DIVERS
What would a perfect dive deck entail? The answer is: for you to admire and explore, to have generously designed space to gear up with a fixed site for each diver, several rinse tanks, plenty of surface space and a large camera room. All in all - an ideal base camp for the most beautiful dive excursions in Komodo, Raja Ampat and Banda.
With the above in mind, MSV Amira was built with locally grown timber by indigenous craftsmen using ancient Pinisi boat building traditions. She is equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation system, security and rescue equipment. With a length of 52 metres, Amira offers 8 comfortable double cabins and two single cabins, all equipped with personal showers and toilets and natural lighting. There is a cozy restaurant, a romantic lounge area and a huge sun deck - truly a diver's dream boat.
DIVING
MSV Amira is your ticket to Indonesia's best dive sites. We take you to Komodo, the dragon island, with its unique underwater world and to Raja Ampat, the global centre of marine biodiversity. Every year, during special trips we will also take you to some of Indonesia's unique destinations that you can only visit with MSV Amira.
A regular dive day on the Amira usually consists of four dives (3 during day time, 1 at night). Exceptions may occur, such as on the first and last day of a trip, crossings, and unfavorable weather conditions.
Extensive debriefing takes place on the nature of each dive site, before heading out to sea with the three dinghies. Every dinghy is equipped with a radio transmission system, emergency oxygen tanks and each diver wears an ENOS homing device. A carefully chosen and well trained dive guide is assigned to every group (4-5 divers). Nitrox (32%) is available without extra cost. Nitrox courses are available for a fee.

Wakatobi
- Pelagian
The Pelagian was built
at the Batservice Verft A/S Shipyard in Mandal , Norway , as a elegant
world-ranging motor yacht.
Her construction was to Lloyd's
+100A1 yacht and +LMC classification, and she was stoutly built
to travel the world's oceans in comfort and safety. Pelagian cruises
at 9 knots and she has a range of over 8,000 nautical miles! Onboard
water-makers and over 20 tons of fresh water in the tanks mean that
we don't need to worry about having an extra shower or rinsing our
cameras one more time!
Measuring 35 meters (115
feet) overall in length, her beam is 7.5 meters (24 feet) and her
draft is 3.4 meters (11 feet). At 245 metric tons, she has the size
and heft to provide us with a secure base for our exploration of
the aquatic world.
Pelagian is air-conditioned
throughout and offers en-suite accommodation (private bathrooms)
in six cabins, ranging from the Standard Cabins up to the Master
Suit.
The Pelagian's two custom-made
18ft rigid hull inflatable (RIB) dive tenders are equipped with
double 60HP outboard engines, tank racks and secure stainless steel
ladders (no need to enter the boat like a stranded seal:). These
tenders are comfortable and very easy to enter and exit. Diving
is mainly done off the tenders as they allow divers to go directly
to the dive sites more accurately than the main ship.
Tanks are quickly filled
using whips from the Pelagian so there's no need to take the gear
off the tenders until the end of the cruise. Our friendly, camera-aware
crew is always ready to lend a hand.
