It is a tall, thin house with windows overlooking the medieval street below, and a roof terrace with panoramic views. A flight of internal stairs, from the entrance, lead up to the living room/dining room/kitchen that spans the length of the building from front to back. The living room has large arched windows with views onto the street below. On the next floor of this holiday accommodation, there are two double bedrooms with art-deco furniture.
Both bathrooms are on this floor, one en-suite and one next to the other bedroom. A short flight of steps leads up to a small study, which can be turned into a bedroom for a fifth person. The internal stairs continue up to a roof terrace, with panoramic views across the Umbrian countryside and the terra-cotta tiled rooftops of Spello.
Casa Cardinale, is a one bedroom town house – it can also accommodate two more on a sofa-bed in the living room.
It is located below the round tower and high castle walls of Spello’s medieval fortress, which form the garden wall. Access to the house is through an archway, up a short street and into a picturesque piazza. The house comprises the entire upper floor of a building lived in by the owners. There is a private garden and, at the front of the building on a terrace above the piazza, the owners have an extensive vegetable garden with fruit trees and views down onto the rest of the town.
There is air conditioning and mosquito nets on the windows. To the left of the entrance is the bedroom (double bed, wardrobe, full length mirror), whilst to the right is the recently re-fitted bathroom with bath-tub and shower.
The end of the short entrance corridor leads into the living room/dining room/kitchen. This has a fully-equipped kitchen, dining table (with six chairs), fireplace, rocking chair and sofa bed.
