    Classy apartment, Florence

This apartment gives you the feeling of total belonging. It is set in an old Florence building with a few other local residences offering echoes of mothers cleaning and children playing in nearby courtyards.
When my daughter and I stayed in Florence the apartment allowed us ample opportunities to have breakfast leisurely in our pyjamas before a magnificent day of shopping and exploring, and to make picnic lunches from the Bistecca Alla Fiorentina (Florentine Steak) of which there was always plenty left over from dinner.

    Exotic riads in Marrakech, Morocco

Staying in a riad in the old medina of Marrakech is a unique experience.
By the nature of their construction riads are very intimate spaces with a limited number of rooms. The outsides being austere to hide the sumptuous and often expensive interiors, you will often find beautiful carved architecture made by master craftmen, lush fabricsa nd Berber carpets, candle lit lanterns everywhere and intoxicating fragnances of burining aromatic oils. There will usually be an exquistically tiled plunge pool in the central cool courtyard, surrounded by lovely plants and traditional tiles.
