Fantastic Diving Offer at Marettimo between 16th of September to 01st of November 7 Nights from from £798.00 per person including flights from Gatwick Airport to Palermo, 23 kg baggage allowance per person, airport transfers(including Ferry), and 5 Days diving per person (including tanks & weights with 2 dives each day) and lunch aboard the boat as well as Dinner for 7 evenings.
Accommodation in Marettimo basic but comfortable and the Dive boat is 12 meters long, with a readily available compressor aboard that allows divers to recharge their tanks without having to shuffle equipment and benches, a box for each person (max 24 pax), a platform on the poop deck for entry/exit from the water, and a wide sundeck for relaxing moments. It is possible to leave the equipment on the boat for the duration of your vacation.
Marettimo is the westernmost and most remote of the three Egadi Islands, just over an hour’s hydrofoil ride from Trapani on Sicily’s western tip.
Largely untouched by tourism, the island is a real hideaway, a quiet, sleepy place for most of the year. Then, in the summer months, expat islanders return to see their families, catch up with the news and renew their vows of love for their home. The story of Marettimo’s diaspora and how the islanders took up salmon-fishing in Alaska is the stuff of legend and an intrinsic part of the island’s identity. There are no hotel, camping or other large-scale tourism apart from some trattorie (restaurants), bars and local shops.
