Cocos & Malpelo Islands Diving

  • Cocos & Malpelo Islands
  • A liveaboard around Cocos Island, Costa Rica | Scuba Diving

    Whitetip sharks

Cocos, part of Costa Rica, is one third of the Golden Triangle, with the Galapagos and Colobia’s Malpelo Islands making up the rest. Cocos is famous as being a liveaboard-only destination, so you will sleep, cook and while away the hours on your boat with your family or new friends you are introduced to.

Escape to Cocos Island – a lush, green uninhabited island resting 600 km off Costa Rica’s Pacific coast. Cocos Island is the largest uninhabited island in the world. To have the opportunity to dive and visit this unique paradise is a dream come true.
Rocky pinnacles surrounding Cocos are beacons for large pelagic animals, particularly schools of scalloped hammerhead sharks. White tip reef sharks, rays and mantas are abundant, as are schools of tuna, jack and snapper. Whales sharks, dolphins and turtles are frequently sighted. Most of the action is between 15 and 30 metres with visibility in the 25-30 metre range.
