Awlad Baraka Village & Al Saraya Cotton Houses Situated 14 kms south of Marsa Alam town overlooking Tondoba Bay, this unique dive camp offers African style huts with either shared or private facilities, and palace-like tents with a separate sleeping area, sitting area, private facilities and wooden terraces with a seaview. Full board accommodation is offered with meals taken at the camp restaurant. There is also another caféteria on the beach, near the Blue Heaven Holidays Diving Centre also run by Aymen and Constanze the creators of the camp. Red Sea Diving Safaris Eco Villages These camps were set up by Hossam Helmy who with his team has been diving and exploring this area for nearly 20 years. Originally travelling dive safaris the tents are now pitched on 3 permanent sites at Marsa Shagra, Marsa Nakari and Wadi Lahami. Rooms have also been added for those wanting greater comfort, rooms with shared facilities at Marsa Shagra and Marsa Nakari, and rooms with private facilities and fans at all three sites. The emphasis of these camps is the diving and accommodation is offered on a full board basis. Marsa Shagra is the main site, north of Marsa Alam town, near to hotels such as the Calimera Habiba while Nakari is a smaller camp 18kms south of Marsa Alam town. Wadi Lahami, designed for the more experienced and adventurous divers, is in the deep south near Hamata. |
