| Red
Sea Diving Safari Dive
Centres
Based at the 3 Red Sea
Dive Safari Eco Lodges and the Kahamana Hotel (Pioneer Divers) these
excellent dive centres offer great diving for all levels of divers.
The main dive centre at Marsa Shagra, Marsa Nakari and Pioneer Divers
offer PADI courses as well as a choice of dive packages for shore
and boat diving. Marsa Shagra & Nakari also offers unlimited
house reef diving in buddy pairs for those suitably experienced.
Wadi Lahmami offers dive packages for more experienced and adventurous
divers. The boat diving from here is by RIB.
On their first day in
Ecolodges Shagra Village, Nakri Village or Lahami Villaage, the
guests will receive an orientation dive around the bay accompanied
by one of the guides. After this initial orientation (if the guests
wishes and their diving ability allows) they are free to enjoy our
unlimited diving set-up. Zodiac services are available allowing
for the option of up to 6 different patterns within the house reef.
This is definitely one of the most enjoyable factors of Red Sea
Diving Safari, as it is wonderful to have the freedom to dive in
buddy pairs at their own pace and at the times they want to. Individual
guests don't have to worry, as there always seem to be other divers
very keen to go for a dive which they can join.
in addition, the safari
trucks travel twice a day to dive the Sharms, Marsas and reef walls
along the coastline where easy access to the reef makes this area
ideal for shore based diving. The coastal reef reaches a maximum
depth of 55 meters and is heavily pitted with caves and swim-throughs.
The equipment is loaded on the truck, which usually leaves between
07:00 to 08:00 hours. The flat bed trucks are open and the guests
sit in the front part on mattresses, whilst the dive gear and cylinders
are loaded into the back. These dives will be guided, and the guide
will give a briefing on arrival at the site. A tarpaulin is spread
on the ground for gearing up thus preventing the equipment getting
sand in it. After the dive the guests will either move back to the
Ecolodges for lunch or have lunch on site before heading off between
13.00 and 14.00 hours for the second dive.

| Barakuda
Diving, Lahami Bay Beach Resort
Lahami Bay has a wonderful
5km house reef. The dive centre here offers PADI & TDI courses
as well as shore dive packages. Boat trips can be added at an additional
supplement.
Directly facing the reefs
of the Fury Shoals, Lahami Bay is by far the nearest resort to the
world class diving highlights of the South Red Sea, including Zabargad
island, Rocky island and St. John's reefs.
Departing from the resort's
private marina, the fleet of quality diving boats of our Baracuda
Diving Center - Lahami Bay can reach in 10 to 60 minutes over 40
pristine dive sites. Before the opening of Lahami Bay , those sites
were reachable only by means of live aboard safari boats on lengthy
trips. Among those dive sites, in the immediate vicinity of Lahami
Bay are the renown reefs of Sataya, Malahi, Abu Galawa, Shaab Maksur,
as well as several shipwrecks.
New dive sites are being
continuously discovered in the surrounding mostly uncharted waters
of the South.
Lahami Bay House Reef is in itself a diving
destination. Starting less than a hundred meters from the beach,
countless coral barriers, patches and pillars at depths from 15
to 60 meters extend into the sea in kilometre long formations. This
unique house reef system offers unlimited possibilities for daytime,
early morning and night diving, either directly from the beach,
or by means of designated small house reef boats. |
