SCOPELLO VILLAS

CASA FLORA

Sleeps 4

Casa Flora, Scopello, is about 2km from the sea and 4km from the Zingaro nature reserve, an area of outstanding natural beauty famous for its wonderful clear waters and lush vegetation. The area is ideal for all kinds of water sports including diving, sailing and canoeing. The reserve is also very popular with walkers in spring and autumn when the weather is cooler.

Both Palermo-Falcone-Borsellino airport and Trapani-Birgi airport are about 45km away, whereas the closest town is Castellammare del Golfo (6km), which offers a good variety of shops and a buzzing nightlife around its picturesque port. However, in the ancient fishing village of Scopello you can also find whatever you need and it is also a wonderful place to spend an evening with its alfresco dining and bars.

Casa Flora's location is breathtaking: the magnificent gulf from Punta Raisi to the Zingaro is stretched before you and sea and sky seem to merge into one. The house has been built respecting the surrounding territory using local materials such as natural stone and terracotta. Entrance to the house is through the bright and airy living area where the large windows open onto the terrace and the spectacular view. Watching the sun rise from here is an unforgettable experience.

The open-plan sitting room combines contemporary elegance with Mediterranean colours. Two large, comfortable sofas create a lovely corner in which to read, converse, relax or watch TV. Apart from the dining area, there is a well-equipped kitchen with all the necessary appliances. A small hallway leads to the two elegantly furnished bedrooms, a double and a twin, and to the spacious bathroom with shower.

The swiming pool in the big garden is a wonderful space to relax in and have fun. There is also a shady barbeque area complete with table for outside dining.

Scopello is a great spot from which to explore the many interesting attractions nearby: Palermo, Trapani, Castellammare del Golfo, the medieval village of Erice, Marsala, the Greek temples at Segesta, Selinunte and Agrigento.
