Teverina BassaCasa Fiordino A four bedroom house that sleeps 8, Casa Fiordino is a secluded private house in Tuscany with pool in a striking position above the castle of Sorbello. Vines, olives and a mature garden make it everything a Tuscany house should be. Ground floor: large sitting room with TV, study with glass doors to garden, dining room/kitchen (dishwasher) with stone fireplace and an arched door leading to a pergola with shade from vines; a bathroom with shower and washing machine. First floor: a double bedroom with en suite bathroom (2 showers and a tub), two further double bedrooms and a twin bedroom.The main bedroom opens onto a large tiled terrace. This is a quality home with a very 'cared for' feeling. The furnishings are antiques and country style - comfortable and cosy. Externally there is an ample supply of furniture, hammocks and sun loungers. It is almost literally on the Tuscany/Umbria border as the hillside is divided between the two. The views are of castles, endless chains of mountains and the agricultural vally below. It is only twelve minutes to the villages of Mercatale di Cortona and Lisciano Niccone where there are pizzerie, restaurants, cafes, shops, banks (ATM), post offices. The pool is at the end of the garden where unbroken views across the valley and to the layers of hills beyond. Although you will want to spend time just soaking up the charm of the house and the near area, it is well placed for touring both S.E. Tuscany and Umbri.
