6/8) is in the valley near the village of Lisciano Niccone (walkable).
Next to a small lake, it has views across the valley from Umbria
into Tuscany. A very private location. La Rovina La Rovina is a new restoration. It is attached to another property on one side (an English owned small house) but is quiet and private to itself. It has two ensuite bedrooms (2 double beds) each with a hairdryer, a sitting room (with door to terrace) with wood burning stove and a good sized kitchen/diner (with door to terrace). There is a DVD player and a good stock of DVDs plus there are sound systems in both the sitting room and the kitchen/diner. La Rovina has a fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine as well as the usual hob/oven. Externally there is a walled terrace with ample dining and relaxing space in a private area. Il Appartamento Il Appartamento is a self contained one bedroom apartment which forms the ground floor of a restored tobacco drying tower. The apartment has one bedroom with double bed and a hairdryer, bathroom, sitting room and kitchen diner. There is a DVD player and a good stock of DVDs plus there are sound systems in both the sitting room and the kitchen/diner. Il Appartamento has a fridge and microwave oven as well as the usual hob/oven. There is a terrace for sitting/eating etc right outside the door. N.B. Guests wishing to rent both properties do have the option of using a good quality sofa bed to turn the apartment's sitting room into a fourth, double bedded room. There is a 12 x 6 metre pool with a stone terrace which enjoys lovely views across the valley and the lake. Guests may also wander through the young orchard which was planted in 2005. Beautiful woods provide a lovely backdrop to this idyllic situation and a good opportunity for walking close to home. The quiet English owner lives on site (in the house above Il Appartamento) and is very keen that guests are able to enjoy privacy while staying at Casa Luce Chiara. Therefore the pool is solely for the use of guests. The entire property is fenced for privacy, as is the owner's garden. The owner is happy to offer suggestions on local sites/restaurants should you wish.
